Hugo moves back to Hübben 17 (as sole proprietor). Hulda Broch also moves into the house with her husband Karl Hermes, staying there for about 5 years.

The Schaafenmühle Kotten burns down again and is rebuilt by Emil and Hugo in brick masonry.

Emil Broch and August Woop found the "Broch & Woop" straight razor grinding plant based in Schaafenmühle (presumably in the Kotten).

Broch & Woop register the mark "Water Wheel"

The Kamphausen & Plümacher GmbH is entered in the commercial register. Otto, Alex, Oswald and Wilhelm Plümacher also take over the company Broch & Woop at this time. The new head office becomes the K&P headquarters on Mittelstraße 5.

Emil moves to Hübben 17 and now owns the house together with his brother Hugo.

Emil and Hugo sell the Schaafenmühle grinding mill to the city of Solingen. It finally gets shut down in the 1920's.

The first Cologne Trade Fair opens. Whether Emil Broch exhibits at the Spring Fair is still unknown.

Presumably, "Broch & Woop" is merged into "Kamphausen & Plümacher."

City association of Solingen, Gräfrath, Höhscheid, Ohligs, and Wald to the city of Solingen
1932
Due to the global economic crisis, the number of unemployed people in Solingen is rising to a record level of 24,000.

Willy Broch marries Elfriede Ehlenbeck. Together they move to "Häuschen 5" in Solingen-Weyer, the house of his father-in-law.

The company moves to Mangenberger Straße 302 (Emil and Hugo).

Death of Emil Broch. His wife Martha continues to live on Mangenberger Straße 302, but the new company headquarters move to Willy's house.

Devastating bombardments of Solingen. One possible victim is also Emil's twin sister, Selma Kaiser.

Willy Broch re-specializes in cutting goods.

Willy Broch applies for the patent for all-purpose scissors in Germany.

Willy Broch applies for the patent in the US as well.

The German patent is registered.

The US patent is registered in favor of the company "H. A. Pohle" In West Warwick, New Hampshire.
